In the afternoon of July 29, Y2020, President & Executive Director David Lin was invited to attend the event of Foreign Banks Entering Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Nanjing Session at Jiangbei New District Central Business Area, Nanjing. This important event was held by CBIRC Jiangsu Bureau, Nanjing Financial Regulatory Bureau and Nanjing Jiangbei New District Management Committee, and undertaken by the Bureau of Finance of Jiangbei New District and Central Business Area Construction Management office. There’re 21 Foreign Banks located in Jiangsu Province and 30 key corporates located in the area invited to attend it. Our bank has been invited to make speech in the event as one of 4 invited Foreign Banks including MBCL, Hana Bank, Fubon Bank & NCB.

During the meeting, as the 1st Foreign Bank representative speaker, President Lin introduced the milestone, business characteristic and external honor of MBTC to the local government, regulations, FIs and customers to show the overall strength of our parent bank firstly.  And then, he also introduced the history, business strategy, target customers and products line of MBCL in detail, and shared our special services including financial derivatives, bonds, trust and funds supervision, trade finance and forfeiting provided by our bank in recent years. The all-round products line improve our capability to provide comprehensive finance services and solutions to our customers. Meanwhile, the case of ‘Sky Service Hall’ showed our service idea of Adaptive, Engaging & Service Oriented. Since the attendees and corporates were more focusing on the financial services in FTZ, President Lin introduced more about our cross-border business strategy and a series of service cases around the country strategy ‘One Bell, One Road’. And our bank has set up the specific service team in Jiangbei New District in last week, which connected by Nanjing Branch. Except set the wechat service group for convenient interaction, Nanjing Branch GM will communicate with the corporates in FTZ one by one and provide on-site service as well.  President Lin’s excellent speech was recognized by the attendees from local government and regulations, and won the positive feedbacks from the corporates.

As we know, Jiangbei New District is the strategic center of both country-level new area and FTZ, which has huge of development space and potential of overseas investment increment.  The invitation to attend this meaningful event and making the first speech showed our branding image, awareness and influence in Nanjing.
