On April 26, 2013, the first foreign bank in Quanzhou, Metrobank (China) Quanzhou Branch, holds an inauguration ceremony in Quanzhou Wanda Vista Hotel, focusing on serving SMEs in Quanzhou. During the ceremony, Metrobank donated RMB 1 Million to Quanzhou municipal government and its district and county government to support Quanzhou’s economic and social growth.

Head Office of Metrobank (China), established on April 22, 2010, is the first foreign corporate bank in Jiangsu. And its shareholder Metrobank is one of the largest banking consortiums in Southeast Asia, ranking 20th among "Top 500 Banks in Asia and Pacific Regions" of Asian Banker, a global authoritative financial media.

Establishment of Metrobank (China) Quanzhou Branch marked the end of history in Fujian that no new foreign bank coming to this province in ten years. Quanzhou has an active private economy, in which private industrial companies' total output value accounts for 93.4% of the total industrial output value of the whole city and number of private company 98% of total number of companies of the city. Most of these companies are SMEs with good development trend and large demand of funds. Metrobank (China) established a branch in Quanzhou, focusing on SMEs with annual income of RMB 30 MM - 200 MM. The Bank will provide facility product of RMB 5 MM - 10 MM with low requirement to meet financing needs of SMEs.

Since trial operation started in September 2012, Metrobank (China) Quanzhou Branch, taking root in locality and adapting to local market, has been providing excellent service to the real economy and handed over a remarkable completed examination paper. Facility provided to SMEs accounted for 90.5% of its total facilities, and the part of foreign exchange sales and purchase, foreign currency settlement, and other intermediate services provided to SMEs accounts for 100% of them; customized financial solutions are provided to SMEs for them to solve fund problems. Facility provides substantial support to real economic development, of which 61.7% is invested into manufacture companies, 35.6% trade companies, and 2.7% service companies. We adheres to the excellent service concept of visiting by just one call, making a good beginning in Quanzhou market. Meanwhile, Metrobank (China) Quanzhou Branch will also utilize Internet and advantages of products, providing "Quanzhou companies outside Mainland China" and "foreign companies in Quanzhou" with international financial services and "one-to-one" financial solutions.
